didymus7 Tl Posts: 4 USA | Posted - 8/15/2000 11:12:49 AM Tried to install USR Sportster external on system with Win98se. Using latest .inf file (works on other computers with this type modem). Installs without error, shows up in device manager, but Win98se has no entry under 'Modems' in Control Panel. Checked bios to make sure ports/interrupts fine. No problems under device manager. Any ideas on how to proceed? Thanks....didymus7 |

didymus7 Tl Posts: 4 USA | Posted - 8/23/2000 5:45:20 AM I haven't had the opportunity to get back to that problem. It's on my wife's computer, and the modem is supposed to be back-up internet access for the cable modem. I'm going to have to go through and make sure the interrupts are correct since there are 2 network cards also in this system (one for the cable modem, one for network). I'll post when I solve the problem or I'll have a USR sportster for sale |
