Hi,

I am new to the forum.
I just bought a CP5610 and could only get up to 28,800 rate . I tried many different initialization strings but still didn't help ?
With the same phone line and a Diamond Supra Express modem (which is a lot cheaper and supposedly a winmodem), the Windows 98 icon at the right bottom corner showed a 112k rate !

Any help is highly appreciated!

112k? I don't think so.
Maybe 115.2k which isn't a 'real' connect rate.
