I purchased and installed the flash 56k V.90 upgrade for my USRobotics Sporster External 33.6 I made the instalation without problems and then restarting Windows 98 detecting the U.S. Robotics 56K FAX EXT PnP driver, and when I checked with the command ATI7 the screen shows X2, V.90. All seems OK. But when I connect to my ISP the modem still connect always at 33.6K., according to the terminal screen and with the number showed in the taskbar. My ISP have 56K V.90 modems and to check I have in the same computer a Genius GM56PCI-L modem ( Lucent chip ) and it works normally at 49.3K and 50.2 K., because the telephone line is good. I tried with the USRobotics support but after crossing some e-mails they understand that my telco line don't be able to 56K. ( Big lie but anyway the charged the upgrade in my credit card. Thank you USR support !!! ) I tried adding the init string S32=2 that I see recommended in some sites but nothing happens. Any ideas ? Thank you very much in advance.
