I have a 3Com Robotics Internal PCI Winmodem 56K V90 and since upgrading to Win 98, I can't get dial up networking to detect my modem. I can use the Hyperterminal to dial up a local BBS with no problems. How can I set up my system to say "hey the Modem is there!" Thanks (I didn't have this problem with Win95)

See the Microsoft KB article on modem problems with Win98 - link at www.808news.com/56k/links.htm

You may need to re-install DUNs/networking or uninstall & re-install the modem; With certain USR winmodems, the MS KB article discusses registry entries that need to be corrected.

Aloha,
Richard
