| thekid Tl Posts: 1 | Posted - 1/23/2001 10:25:26 PM    All, I have a MD6802-U Modem (AZT 4029) and have recently moved to Italy. I am know trying to connect to the internet and am having problems. I dis-clicked the wait for dial tone to dial and when I go to connect the modem is still searching for a dial tone. So I went into the internet provider profiles and told it to ignore the dial properties and it still says the same thing when I connect. Is my modem bad or does anyone have any other suggestions? |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 1/28/2001 8:39:35 AM  You may need to change COUNTRY settings; if the driver you have doesn't support country you are in, you may need to find a driver that does (Aztech is NOT a USR modem - find the chipset) www.808news.com/56k/chipset.htm You may be able to get modem to work without new driver by adding x1 or x3 to extra settings to tell modem not to do call progress detection.
