ChrisC Tl Posts: 3 | Posted - 2/18/2001 9:41:59 AM Poor connection speed, very frequent disconnects (not really disconnections, the modems stay connected, but there is no data transfer....the connection just hangs....VERY FRUSTRATING).....Why is my 2976 modem installed on both COM 3 and COM 5...is this normal? how can I improve my connection speed ( it always connects at 28,800, never any faster...V34 and never V90. |

ChrisC Tl Posts: 3 | Posted - 2/27/2001 10:49:25 AM Opps...here are the correct diagnostics....the last set are from a different number to the same ISP....it gets a LITTLE betterperformance ...less "hangs".... but no better connection Here are the Diagnostics for my main #...BTW, when this number "hangs" I get the same ping and Tracert responds as the other #: ati6 Chars sent 85636 Chars Received 306635 Retrains Requested 1 Retrains Granted 0 Data Compression V42BIS 2048/32 Disconnect Reason is DTR dropped OK
