jlshalla Tl Posts: 1 Canada | Posted - 3/20/2001 7:42:25 PM Problem Description: The PC owner has the following hardware: She has tried rebooting the computer, removing the card, reinstalling the drivers off the original floppy disk, and moving the card to the other PCMCIA slot. She has borrowed another modem (a 3Com/USR Sportster 14.4 modem card), and cannot get the borrowed card to work either. She has also tried yelling at the computer and shaking it violently. LizardKing Tl Posts: 14 United Kingdom | Posted - 3/21/2001 5:29:34 PM I get this problem with my Compaq What i have to do is plug my old 14k modem in first then plug my 56k modem in. this was forcing the computer to put the 56k on a port that wasnt already open. I dont think you can understand that, but its hard to know without the hardware infront of me to show. But i have no idea why its stoped working (your not mine) |
