Hi,

on my desktop with a USR 56K voice win (128 RAM, win 98), as I am downloaded a file sys monitor shows peaks of 5kb/s to valleys of 1kb/s` and below. It looks like a steady oscillation between the two yielding me a download of about 3kb/s on a 38.6KB/s connection. I have tested A/D and determine there is one. Any hints on how to "steady" the download rate, get a more constant rate?

Thanks Richard.

What do your modem diagnostic screens tell you about your connection?
www.808news.com/56k/diag3com.htm

Speedshifts? Retrains? Blers? NAKs? Final Rates?. etc/

Aloha,
Richard
