My 3CP5610 PCI Faxmodem was constantly connecting at
37333 to 38600 until a couple weeks ago. It now will
only connect at 28800. I'm using the 5.20.3 driver. I
tried another computer on the same phone line and it
connects at 37333. Any suggestions as to what might
have changed or what to look for? Thank you.

Just ground your PC. See other thread in this Forum.

What do you get with a/d conversion check?
It's possible phone co. changed facilities serving your line and you no longer have 56k-compatible line.

I called the telephone company and they stated no changes have been made. Can you explain to a newbie how
to send the modem a ATY11 command? Thanks.

Welcome. Richard's site has extensive info about modems an diagnostics. Go there, and begin your journey by typing aty11 in the search.

Thanks for all who tried to help, but I give up!! I can't find Com Port 5 in Hyperterminal where my modem
is on, or can I figure out how to work A/D conversion.
