Posted - 4/7/2001 10:07:48 PM       ok i have tried just about all modem strings i can find and have come to the conclusion that most are crap. the only one that really does anything for me is the one that sarge gave me to disable x2.which gave me a 5 to 15,ooo more kbps boost. ~~thanks again~~ (((((are MOST of these strings a desperate attempt to get a connextion that is impossible???)))) that is like you say, "unless you get a different brand modem, and that may help." i was checking, and alot of the strings do nothing more than you, can do your self in modem config..... am i wrong to say this? i must say again i am new to this so if i sound stupid it is because i dont know what i am talking about. hehe :)
