Would someone can help me as above:

Hello!
I am using a USRobotics which shown "Dual Standard V.34 Fax with V.32bis" on the panel and running V.90 and x2. Which my friend gave me. Now I know there is a V.92 update would be release, so I type ATI7 which displayed product ID with nothing. And I follow the USR page said locate the label see the product ID on the bottom of my modem which only have only one bar code label with bar code 980955500XXXXXXX which 16 digit number. Would anyone tell me which is my product ID ? And is my modem is V.Everything ? Because My modem panel hasn't displayed that message....

Thank you!

v.Richard

From the info you gave, I cannot tell what your product code is; however, it appears that you have a modem that was originally NOT 56k (was upgraded);
only the newest of USR modems will qualify for a V.92 upgrade - yours definitely will not.

My guess would be that your modem was flashed with a non-USR flash which is why ati7 doesn't identify the modem's product ID anymore.

Aloha,
Richard

20.16mhz clock freq= VERY old Courier - 'original'
Your modem was upgraded from (possibly V.32 to V.34) V.34 to x2 then x2 to V.90; I wouldn't be worried about anything; however, USR has indicated it will not make a V.92 upgrade for your modem - or even the later 25mhz-clocked v.Everything model.

Aloha,
Richard
