Since there are no V.92 servers that presently support PCM upstream, (in fact, you are probably not even connecting to a V.92 server), and change in performance is due to a different implementation of V.90 downstream; a further reduction in speed would be expected using V.92 PCM upstream when/if it becomes available. The change in PCM downstream performance will vary depending upon telco network conditions and the type and firmware level of modems at your ISP.

All the more reason to hold back on V.92
(indeed my ISP server is V.90)
