www.v92.com said (v.92 whitepaper):

"The first type of PCM communication, and the one that was eventually determined, was the method where PCM modulations were in the downstream direction, and QAM (V.34) modulations were in the upstream direction. The second, labeled V.90 Issue 2, was PCM upstream, where PCM modulations were in both the upstream and downstream direction.
The third, which is still pending, though with almost no support for moving forward, is PCM end-to-end, which modems to use a PCM modulation."

What you guys think about V.PCM end-to-end allows two client modems to connect higher than 33600?

Because Internet is not only one usage of analog modems (we have also BBS, FidoNet, small corporate pools with Courier's where is analog telephony still have strong positions) it should add some juice for analog modems?

Anybody have datasheets for V90 Issue 3?

I don't think that any modem maker will ever introduce end-to-end PCM where both modems are on analog lines.

Hi!

Yeah - the reason are low commercial use for V.93 stantard :(

But modems usage is not only Internet access.

Also we expect for V34Fax implementation.
