Tech113 Tl Posts: 8 USA | Posted - 6/7/2001 10:32:36 AM I am tech support for a paging company and have several customers who have purchased the new US Rob. 56K INT Win modem w/3 com chip and have been unsuccessful pulling that modem down to a hard 300 baud connect. This 300 connect is needed to access a paging terminal to send text messaging. US Rob. had a great product before merging and all their modems were so easy to work with, but since merging w/3COM finding a INIT string to put in the paging software to pull it down has been horrible!! Need help!! PLEASE-need INIT string that will work! {:(] |

SARGE Tl Posts: 743 USA | Posted - 6/7/2001 7:45:05 PM Bob, that should do it; however the AT&F1 part isn't needed. Good work |
Bob Starnes Tl Posts: 4360 USA | Posted - 6/7/2001 9:02:41 PM True if they're using the Windows modem setup but if it's an app that has it's own modem setup then the AT&F1 part will be needed. |
