dusthazard Tl Posts: 88 USA | Posted - 7/5/2001 7:21:13 PM I do not have this modem. Have you consulted the manual and/or any documentation that came with it? |
Turbo-Regal Tl Posts: 2 | Posted - 7/6/2001 11:00:52 PM Yes, and it states nothing about Win2k. |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 7/16/2001 11:47:19 PM You need to determine what initialization the modem is given in gaming mode, and give it those commands via extra settings/init string in Win2k. Or, just disable 56k. Often, that's the best 'gaming mode'. Aloha, |
erpiii Tl Posts: 1 | Posted - 7/18/2001 1:34:12 PM Make sure your modem is the right model. I think it must have an 'A' at the end of the model number to be a switchable modem. Download the drivers at the usr site for the modem with the 'A' at the end. There is an exe file in the download that shows up in the system tray. (GM tray.exe) I found it at support/all other modems/driver infs and firmware/ 3cp5610a 9x 2k.exe. If you have NT use the next one down on the list. |

djmaim Tl Posts: 14 | Posted - 8/4/2001 2:25:10 AM Please God do not buy this modem!!! I made the mistake of trusting this "new" USR "after the selloff" modem and got burned. If you do any internet gaming and are stuck out in the boonies with 56k then read this and buy a Zoom 2920:
