BD1 Tl Posts: 2 United Kingdom | Posted - 8/4/2001 4:12:20 PM Hi All I'm getting crap throughput - c. 1.7 kbs but a reasonable connection, 45.3 I've had the above external modem for over a year and am very pleased with its features/functions. I suspect the throughput problem is my ISP (BT for those of you in the UK) but finding out about my modem has been impossible. The 3Com site doesn't recognise the product code ( I've quoted the codes 22TIBCC9I61B and 71-245625-01 which appear on the bottom of the modem) and I can find no reference to it by name. Apparently it's flash upgradeable but I can't find anything to flash it with. Can anyone help please? |
Bob Starnes Tl Posts: 4360 USA | Posted - 8/4/2001 9:15:20 PM Could that be a 81-015625-01? Tried http://www.usr-emea.com/support/s-group-template.asp?group=s-modem&page=drivers&loc=unkg Might try lowering the maximum connect speed to something lower than 45333 by setting a range for the modem to work within using the &Nn and &Un commands. http://modemsite.com/56k/x2-linklimit.htm#3Com Might also check the ati6i11 data to see what's happening during the connection. http://modemsite.com/56k/x2-hyperterm.htm |

Bob Starnes Tl Posts: 4360 USA | Posted - 8/5/2001 11:57:02 AM Ok, wasn't real sure, USR has so many model numbers, product IDs and such that it's hard to match them up sometimes. |
