I seem to have managed to upgrade my 5686-03 modem to v.94, so now I'm trying to figure out how to configure it so the Modem On Hold (MOH) feature my ISP has just added will actually work.

The Control Center Documentation found at:

is in tech speak so I don't understand what it means. Can any of you translate this into simple steps that an old cognitively impaired hippie can understand:

Enable Modem-on-hold
DEFAULT: Clicked
Click the check box to enable the modem to support in-band communication between the DTE (terminal device/computer) and
the DCE (modem).
Modem-on-hold Response
Modem-on-Hold Response defines the response that is sent when a modem-on-hold request is received.
If you select Ignore MHREq, there is no response.
If you select Send MHack, the modem-on-hold request is acknowleged.
If you select Send MHnack, the modem-on-hold request is not acknowleged.
AT Commands
This field shows the AT commands for the current settings last saved from this tab. To display this field, click Display AT
Commands. To conceal this field, click Hide AT Commands (the same button, renamed). You can send AT commands to your
device from the Terminal window.
The AT command string displayed is updated only after you Save To Modem.
