Does anyone have a full set of modem init/control strings they've used successfully under Linux? Specifically, the 5687-02 version...

You can get a complete listing of commands supported by your 3Com/USR modem by giving it the following commands with a terminal program:

AT$
ATs$
AT&$
ATD$

USR modems with AT&F1 as init string give 'default' 56k profile, which, in most instances, will be a good string (I'd assume for Linux).

Aloha,
Richard
