Using an LT with 6.00 driver, connect at 48000bps. I tried to switch the phone lines and numbers still get same result. This started to happen 3 days ago. Til then it was connection at 45333bps. Might be a new Firmware I need. |
SARGE Tl Posts: 743 USA | Posted - 8/12/2001 11:13:30 AM What do you get if using the USR alone, on regular connect? Your ISP may have changed equipment. Don't go fooling around with any new firmware - all my USR modems are "old" 56k's and do nicely. Check the modem here. If speed is up on some sites, but not your ISP's, you then have a clue. http://www.geocities.com/sarge67us/USR.html |
10100011 Tl Posts: 3 | Posted - 8/12/2001 6:44:52 PM There appears to be a modem connection problem. It is possible that a previous attempt to dial out failed and is still in a "hung" state. this is wut netmedic told me. dunno wut to do. im connection at 28000bps now. on the same line where i connect at 48000bps with my LT. i tried install and reinstalling drivers. |
10100011 Tl Posts: 3 | Posted - 8/13/2001 9:14:06 PM Is all V90 connection the same? A 70$ USR v90 is slower, and less stable than a 15$ + tax 17$ LT. |
v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 8/16/2001 10:16:14 PM Do you get a double handshake with the USR? www.modemsite.com/56k/trouble3.htm If not, V.90 is not being attempted and you may have bad init string or modem settings; If so, check the y11 results - Also check other diags from USR modem Aloha, |
