| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 8/22/2001 10:27:28 PM Local loop back really isn't needed: If you use Hyperterminal and the modem echo's characters / responds to commands, the modem is working. www.modemsite.com/56k/x2-hyperterm.htm Remote loopback - where your modem is connected to another modem and set to return everything sent to it: The other end is doing the 'testing' - and normally this just isn't done.
