| Matts Tl Posts: 1 | Posted - 8/20/2001 2:35:02 AM    I was in March promised (at cebit) that USR will provide v92 upgrades to most of its modems during Q2. Later I was promised that in early July theese upgrades will be provided. It is now soon september and still no sing of upgrades for more thatn one or two of their models. And they dont seam to care at all about their European models, like 245630-01 for instance, it is not even listed along the upgradeable, even if it is hardware identical to the other xx56300-01 modems. IF they get delayed in a release, can happen to anyone, the least you can do it to update your homepage and say, sorry we are delay and we now estimate the upgrades to be available by xxx. It is getting more and more likely that I dont care about the upgrades when they arrive, and it is *NOT* because I have bought a new v.92 modem from USR !!! (It is NOT the v.92 functionality I am after, but the v.92 ISP independent call notification feature that v.92 modems from USR provides that I want, I would at the moment be fully satisfied with an intermediate release that gives me only this feature.) |
