Silly me bought a USED 3com USR 56k Voice Faxmodem.
CD and manual were not delivered and supplier just emailed these 3 driver files:
(b)3COMAPR.inf(/b>-- This inf covers APR models 5663,5676,5618,5635 only
(b)3COMAPRW.inf(/b)
(b)mdmusrv.inf(/b)

As I have 3 stickers on the underside of this modem ( remember I am in Australia and we have standards stickers on everything) it is difficult to ascertain the relevant model type.
One of the stickers next to the serial nomber has 12 digit code which I believe is my unique number; On the same sticker is Another number which I suspect is the actual model number.It READS 04566300. Obviously my driverfile states less digits than this.
Having no info. on my modem is darn annoying when it comes to configuring it.
Can anyone help me on this please?
Thankyou

Best wishes

04566300 = 04 5663 00

USR Support (Australia):
http://www.usr-apr.com/support/s-main-menu.asp?loc=unkg

Click on the "Product Code Finder" at the above site for locating the Product ID number and IDing the modem.

If you have any trouble then just post -all- the numbers that you can find on the modem.

My modem is already installed, but I recently reformatted my computer and I'm having problems finding drivers for my modem. I can't see the product ID on my modem because of the set up of the computer. And I've tried the product code wizard on USR's website, but it couldn't find my modem. Any other suggestions?

If the modem is already installed and usable then check the ati7 response for the 'Product ID' in the Modem Diagnostics or in Hyperterminal.

Otherwise you'll need to pull the modem to get the numbers from the modem board.
