rcowboy Tl Posts: 3 | Posted - 9/28/2001 1:06:03 PM What the hell is a model 0701? I can not find it listed on the UsRobotics homepage. I seem to get frequent disconnects and poor thru-puts with this modem. I cannot identify the chipset for the modem or any other info bout this hunk of junk. I am about ready to make it a genuine Louisiana trot-line weight!!!! If anyone can give me any information about his modem it would be greatly appreciated. |

Or post -all- numbers that you can find on the modem board. Any thing here match up with what you have? Edited by - Bob Starnes on 9/28/01 6:59:12 PM |

rcowboy Tl Posts: 3 | Posted - 9/28/2001 11:40:46 PM Bob, well i see now that this is the new V.92 modem from USR. However, I still have problems...first windows98SE will not recognize it as a usrobotics modem and install a standard modem instead. Second, the software shipped with the modem (modem central) won't recognize it as a UsRobotics product. So how do I set any of the settings for this??????? |
Bob Starnes Tl Posts: 4360 USA | Posted - 9/29/2001 11:53:55 AM Just remove the modem in the Control Panel, Modems then re-install the modem with the USR drivers through Add New Hardware. Don't know about the Modem Central, perhaps someone else can advise on it. |
