Have you ever gotten a 56k speed on this pc/line/ISP? If you did, and now don't with this USR, and there are no "extra settings", take it back. If this is your first attempt with pc/line/ISP, your line may not be 56k compatible.

Remove extra init string settings.
www.modemsite.com/56k/initmagic.htm

Check to make sure modem is installed with correct .inf file (driver); Your log indicates modem is getting AT&F; 56k USR modems should get AT&F1.

I would suggest making test call in Hyperterminal using AT&F1, then dialing.
www.modemsite.com/56k/x2-hyperterm.htm

Also, check y11 results to see if your line is 56k-capable

Richard

As Richard stated you should install the modem with the correct drivers, may help improve performance a little.

Since you've switched ISPs you're connecting to different equipment and the call is routed differently. This could also be contributing to your slow connections.

Install the correct drivers and then post another modem log and the ati6i11 data, perhaps someone might see where the problem is.
