I hardly can download 15 Mb per hour, and I'd like to know if there is anything I could do to go any faster.. I have a PII 350 on a Win2k o.s. thanks!! |
| Bob Starnes Tl Posts: 4360 USA | Posted - 10/18/2001 5:53:18 PM There's no way to make a modem make a higher connect speed than it detemines the phone line conditions will allow. If you're connected at 45333bps then your file downloads of compressed data (.zip files) should be around 4.5K/Sec, if it's considerably slower than that then you might try limiting the max connect speed to 44000bps or 42666bps to see if the throughput increases.
