I recently installed winxp pro and everything seemed to go well until i reinsatlled aol and went to sign on. I get an error mess saying aol cant inalize my modem. I went into my modem properties na did a query modem and i get a error message saying it either no connected or its bad. But it worked perfectly in winse and the drivers i have for winxp are digitally signed by microsoft. So i know its not the drivers. I cant get it to even get a dial tone nothing it just starts to dail and i get that message 692. please help thanks the bean :(

Did you ever find asolution to this issue? I am having similar problem.

Problem Not Solved. Removing the jumper things from the modem didn't do anything.
