Bob Starnes Tl Posts: 4360 USA | Posted - 11/13/2001 8:51:57 PM Any audible noise (crackling, pops, faint (almost inaudible) hum, crosstalk (faint dialing sounds or distant voices)) on the phone line? Try connecting directly to the telco's demarc box, bypassing the home phone wiring, to see if the problem still occurs. |

glimmer Tl Posts: 4 Egypt | Posted - 11/14/2001 6:29:15 PM no i think the phone line is good ..u see i've tryied the modem on a friend's computer on the same phone line and it works properly and very good and i tryied another modem on my pc and it works...so it seems that the conflict between my motherboard and the modem. maybe it needs a specific AT command or something thanx
