| thunderrooster Tl Posts: 31 USA | Posted - 12/13/2001 2:12:34 PM    Hello everyone.I am like alot of other people who jumped on v.92.I have seen other people saying they connect real slow now like I do.Well I found an etxra string you can add that will let you connect better.Well it did me anyway.It shows you connected at 155.2 but it is faster.Here is the init string AT&FX.Hope this helps.I do not promise or guaranty that it will work.It worked for me but dont know if it will work for you.Oh yeah you loose the fast connect.It will connect like you would with v.90 |
| Bob Starnes Tl Posts: 4360 USA | Posted - 12/13/2001 7:40:17 PM Think you mean 115200, and that's the PORT speed (modem/computer), it's not the true connect speed (modem/modem). Any noticed increase in speed is just an illusion. &F - resets the modem to factory defaults and with the USR modem, without flow control. X - sets the modem to ignore the dialtone (blind dial) and ring responses.
