I'm looking for a way to get my USR Winmodem to connect faster under Win2k. With 98se i get up 53.3k
but Win2k always 33k or less.
When I send AT I7 to identify the modem I get this response:
Product type Belgium Internal
Product ID:
Options V32bis,V.34+,x2,V.90
Fax Options Class 1/Class 2.0
DSP Freq 46.0Mhz
DSP Ram 32k

VXD date 08/26/99
VXD rev 2.60.002

There is no Product type, this modem came with a Dell PC and they do not support win2k for my PC/modem.
USR could not help either since it is a OEM modem

Any tip would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hans

BTW, on the modem itself there are two stickers showing:
The first and smallest is located on the speaker and mic connectors inside
the modem:
21UO70255243 07235500 R:2
Second sticker is on backside of the modem/printboard and has the following
numbers on it:
12651-845-0243
DP/N 00055437 REV. A00

What model Dell?

Look on the modem board and post all numbers.
