Installed in in Win 98SE - modem detected, drivers installed - no problem. When I try to connect to isp , I hear a dial tone, then a click that makes dial tone go away, then modem dials but obviously no connection is made because dial tone is already gone. Is this a Modem flaw, or is my system sending some kind of noise into the pci slots. Have tried other slots - same problem. Do I just give up? Same problem when I try to dial with hyper terminal. Help?! David Frankel |
