| Monarch Tl Posts: 3 | Posted - 1/12/2002 9:57:57 AM    First of all I can't find any drivers for this modem for WindowsME so I use WIn9x ones. I downloaded ControlCenter thingy and I can't upgrade to v.92! Ir detects the modem, but it won't log in! Dial-Up gives me error that modem is busy! and I can't run the program being online already! The only way to download a flash file from somewhere, and flash it from ControlCenter. I didn't find such file! Can anyone help me? can you e-mail the new V.92 BIOS? my e-mail is sergiyko@earthlink.net I read some posts about not doing it because new drivers aren't out. But there wa something about a fix... I also have a problem of getting connection maximu of 38,666!? I think its bad phoneline qality. |
| RonDeTweak Tl Posts: 1 USA | Posted - 1/13/2002 1:59:56 PM I ran into the same problem. You need to set up your browser options to always dial up your default connection. In IE go to tools internet options connections select : always dial my default connection. BEWARE: My connection speed dropped from 48000 to 36000 after I flashed. Maybe you will have better luck |

I already flashed and all my problems like constant packet loss are gone! my phone line is really crappy so I was getting 36000 before and now, but now it is WAY more stable! I also got newer drivers! My ISP is Earthlink which doesn't support V.92 either! |
