I was at a site called http://www.motherboard.org' TARGET='_blank'>http://www.motherboard.org and discovered some amazing information.

#1 I found out that my motherboard type is a: DFI P5BV3
#2 I found out that it can be upgraded with the following mother boards:

PC CHips 812LMR Motherboard.
Duron 1 Ghz Processor
128 MB SDRAM PC-133

or a

Pinegroup PM-S01B
celeron 800
128 MB PC-133 SDRAM

or a

Gigabyte GA-6VA7+

This may proove helpful to some because I was told that the Pentium 200s were useless. It goes to show what people know. If you go to http://www.motherboard.org' TARGET='_blank'>http://www.motherboard.org you can get any question regarding motherboards answered. I know that this information is correct because the person who answered my topic also posted a photo of my exact motherboard.

One thing I don't understand is that the 2 Mobos you list seem to support the Duron chip (an AMD Athlon-class CPU) or the Celeron (an Intel PIII-class CPU). Therefore it looks like these are not really "motherboard upgrades" in the sense that your P200 Pro can fit in them as they require the more advanced CPUs from AMD or Intel.

Anyway, I do agree that a P200 Pro is a fine CPU and is far from useless. It is more that adequate for general computer use, word processing, spreadsheets, surfing the net, online music, even some video. Personally, I use keep a Pentium 120Mhz machine that I built in 1996 as complete home LAN server. It runs Linux and acts as a firewall and automatic dialup system for every system in my house. It acts as a "Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol Server" in that it supplies class C IP addresses on the fly to any machine that connects to my Ethernet LAN, and provides IP Masquerading so all the machines can share a single 56K modem connection.
Linux! It raises your old hardware from the dead and makes it useful :-)
