I brougt USR. Courier v32bis terbo dual standard external modem and i tried to upgrade it in several ways, but :( nothing. I know the frequency (20MHZ) and downloaded the right soft (maybe) to my (Finland) modem but nothing.
I read from somewhere, that some daughter board upgrade is nessecary. If it is so, then how it can be done and is it in changing hardware or just reflashind?
Please help

Aleksander

A Courier V.32 model probably does not have the daughterboard required; beyond that, even if it did, a Courier modem requires a 'key' to activate x2, which is required to activate V.90; I don't believe that you can obtain a key any more.

It probably isn't worth upgrading. You could probably buy a new V.90 Courier for less than they'd charge you to upgrade the one you have - if you can get them to upgrade it. Your other alternative would be to look in the used marketplace for parts....

Richard
