At one time I had an init string that would make dialing much quicker - can someone please tell me how I can reset that up? Much obliged,

The s11 register is used to control the duration of DTMF dialing tones (touch-tone);

You can make dialing faster by putting 

s11=##

in extra settings, where ## is the value for tone duration in milliseconds; I have mine set to 55:
s11=55

If you set the value too low, your telco switch may not be able to recognize the tones.
