Posted - 12/22/2002 8:18:14 PM       If you need to use windows update for XP but can,t log on to the net you can use a pc with 98 on it to download drivers or updates for xp.Just go to Personize windows updates and put a check in Display the link to windows update catalog under SEE ALSO. Now you will have links under see also. I would click about windows update because this does not work the same as windows update.I,m on a 98 machine and I was able to download XP updates but had to figure out how this site works. I download the agere 812 drivers but had to extract each file to a folder after the download.You will have to work it out but can be done. Click windows update calalog.
