If you are having MIC problems might want to read this page.
It is for 98 but should work across the board.

Hidden IP Utility
Windows 95/98/NT You can use a little-known utility called WinIPConfig to see information about your TCP/IP network settings. From the Start Menu, press Run, type WINIPCFG, and click OK.
