For all those that post in the public forum please put this info with your post.This will help in finding the problem faster without having to ask and wait for this info.

What version of windows you are running.
Modems make and model if known.
Pc make and model if a name brand like Dell,HP...ect.
Would also help to inform us if this is a new problem or one that has been going on for some time.
Modem drivers Version if known.

have a modem lucent lt785 in my laptop /behaves unreliable somtes cannot send mail/always revieve butsystem tells incorrect installed modem have un/and reinstalled severak times no improvment / I am tired about this./ have laptop with XP home repaired for modem trouble 3 times/Computer brand is medion&germany & baught in februari last year/live between spain and sweden/

What is the identification number of this note book? What country are you using in country code? What language version pf xp do you have installed? If this pc has a nic card and you are not using it disable in the device manager.What is xp calling this modem in the device manager?
