Scary Guy Tl Posts: 2 USA | Posted - 11/19/2003 9:11:42 AM I'm kinda new to the modem game so I'll try to do the best I can to describe the problem. There are multiple phone lines in the office and I am trying to get the modem to run on line 3. The thing won't run at all on any of the lines though. This is not modem specific as it happens in the other machine too with a USR modem in it. We're running windows 98 if thats any help (boss is too cheap to upgrade). |

charles Tl Posts: 5879 USA | Posted - 11/19/2003 1:10:31 PM Do you need to dial a number to get a outside line? Make sure this is not a digital line also. This for earthlink but shows the setup.Make sure if you do not need area code to remove the check mark.Note If you are dialing from a hotel, office, or other phone system that requires you to dial a digit such as 9 to get an outside line, insert that number before the access number. http://support.earthlink.net/mu/1/psc/img/walkthroughs/windows_9x_nt/dialers/dun_1.3/0522.2v.configure.psc.html Edited by - charles on 11/19/2003 1:20:14 PM |
