This is my first post, so My question is: I Buyed an Intel(R) 537 Data Fax V.90 with Ambient Chipset and in the box sayed that is Upgradable to V.92 I downloaded the new Drivers and It now says "Intel(R) 537 Data Fax Voice V.92" notice that it is now Voice and I like to add That I at first try to download the intel Drivers from www.intel.com the Intel 537EP (the only 537 drivers) and they didn't installe at all becouse the drivers wherent for my modem, so I like to know why¿? becouse my modem is an intel 537 and the modem drivers are Intel 537 so ¿ WHATS THE DIFFERENCE? Please I will like to know and Where can I find the correct ambient drivers and how can I upgrade my modem to V.92 ¿ Do I have to flash it or I do it corectly whit the drivers I already installed, please I will like to know a lot of data about these Ambient and Intel modem and one more thing Whats the meaning of the EP in the intel's 537EP? Look at the chipset,there are two types, 1 The 537EP is a softmodem (HSP) chipset for PCI cards supporting V.92 and V.44 2 The 537EA is a softmodem (HSP) chipset for AC'97 (modem riser) cards supporting V.92 and V.44. What OS are you running. Might try this drivers. This drivers is not for the pci modem. Is this modem PCI? This is a help file for modem on hold.
