It is a GVC model:F-1156I/R2F The chip is a Conextant RS56-PCI R6793-15 other chip numbers-E224912.1 0222 Mexico FCC ID DK4MUL-47166-M5-N. GVC was bought by LITE-ON in 2002. I have not located any usable drivers on their site. It seems they are following Conextant's lead in supplying drivers. Any help would be appreciated. |
| charles Tl Posts: 5879 USA | Posted - 1/16/2004 12:06:45 AM This modem is OEM'd by GVC for DELL and used in many Dell models like the Dimension 8100.This one is for 2000 and xp. When you click the link below just put drivers for login and all for password. http://members.driverguide.com/driver/detail.php?driverid=53312&from_ums=1 There is a readme file in the drivers. | rguice Tl Posts: 5 USA | Posted - 1/16/2004 9:48:48 AM Thanks for the reply. I tried to install this driver without success. I did not mention that my OS is 98SE. These drivers appear to be for 2000 or XP. I appreciate the help and information. |
