| nesxif01 Tl Posts: 11 USA | Posted - 1/20/2004 10:24:02 AM    What are the processor speed and memory requirements to use the Modemsite DSP modem? I've moved my Mom onto netzero "highspeed" and MCI Neighborhood, so she now has a decent ISP (with v.92 support) and Call Waiting w/Caller ID. She has an older WIN98 computer and I'm looking for a v.92 MOH solution for her that works (and the Modemsite DSP sounds perfect!). I am going to try to get her to tell me her speed/ram from Sys Info on her computer (she lives in different state), and I want to get modem before visiting her to install. Just trying to make sure that the DSP modem has a good chance of working with her system. Thanks for your help. |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 1/21/2004 8:29:58 AM  PC with Windows 95/98/Me/NT/2000 or XP and a free PCI slot. It will work with a 486 (remember them?) processor.... which is why I don't specify any more requirements --- if Win95 or greater can run on the machine, the DSP modem can as well. Aloha! Richard. |
