malcolm Tl Posts: 4 USA | Posted - 1/26/2004 11:53:57 AM I've tried several v.92 modems, and they all give slower connect speeds than my old DSI/Creative 3635 pci v.90. I tried a USR 5610B, Zoom 3049 ext, and now an Actiontec PCI V9219 (agere 1648c chip). Actiontec says the driver I have is up to date. None of the v.92 modems will ever get above 34,600. Connections are usually from 28 to 34.6. I've tried calls to lots of ISPs - same results. Any suggestions? Is there a reason that most v.92 modems would connect slower on the same lines that my old v.90 gets pretty good speeds?
