When I try a new connection with my laptop (or any pc)in hyperterminal the modems answer fine but unless the connection settings are shown in the bottom of the hyperterminal window, a connection to the tag readers cannot be made. The settings should look like 115200 8-N-1 but show as 'auto detect'. Sometimes if I connect to a remote modem, click disconnect and then just press random keys the settings appear but now they do not. I hope someone understands what I mean. |

v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 2/15/2004 6:50:49 PM Try setting up Hyperterminal connected directly to modem COM port www.modemsite.com/56k/x2-hyperterm.asp Then, you can issue any needed initialization strings, dial phone #, etc. Again, depending upon the modem you are using, the port settings you use in Hyperterminal may not have an effect. Aloha! Richard. |
