Product type US/Canada External Product ID 00345300 Options HST,V32bis,Terbo,VFC,V34+,x2,V90 Fax Options Class 1,Class 2.0 Clock Freq 25 Mhz Flash ROM 1024k Ram 256k Supervisor date 05/03/00 DSP date 03/16/00 Supervisor rev 1.0.6 DSP rev 1.1.9 DAA rev 0013 With this firmware I'm able to connect around 49333 to several ISPs in my area. ATI11 shows SNR of around 47.5. After flashing the v.92 firmware: ATI7 USRobotics Courier V.Everything Configuration Profile... Product type US/Canada External Product ID 00345300 Options HST,V32bis,Terbo,VFC,V34+,V90,V92 Fax Options Class 1,Class 2.0 Clock Freq 25 Mhz Flash ROM 1024k Ram 256k Supervisor date 01/10/03 DSP date 01/10/03 Supervisor rev 2.1.1 DSP rev 2.1.1 DAA rev 0013 it is unable to connect at v.92 or fall back to v.90. ATI11 reports an SNR of around 35. Has anyone else seen anything like this? thanks Eric

echriste Tl Posts: 4 USA	Posted - 2/27/2004 2:22:27 PM I've tried with v.92 enabled and disabled via register S58, and tried various +P settings. I'm mostly interested in the greater upstream bandwidth and reduced connect time so I've not tried any of the Caller ID features yet. It seems odd that it would not fall back to v.90 when v.92 doesn't work/is disabled. It's almost like they radically changed something in the signal processing that makes v.90 not work.

I'd like to see before and after post-call ati6i11y11 Since it's a Courier, you should be able to flash the modem back to the V90-only without problem. If you want V.92 for increased upstream - you can pretty much forget it. Only Patton & 3Com RAS servers support it at all, but the max up to them is around 33k (which is V34 rate) as compared to the V92 spec of 48kbps. The other RAS vendors have pretty much given up on any V92PCM Upstream support in their product at all. Aloha! Richard.
