Hello all,
Recently my modem stopped working, so i went out and bought a new internal pci modem. When i slot it in and start the computer it would not start, showing only blank screen. I am sure i did not slot into the wrong place. After i took out the modem everything works fine. Can it be because of conflicts? Please help thanks

Try modem in different PCI slot.

The PCI slot you put modem in could have been damaged, or it may cause a conflict with the new modem you have.

Depending upon motherboard/BIOS, you may also be able to go into BIOS setup before computer starts booting operating system, and reset/clear PCI information.

Aloha! Richard.
