Anyone know of any modems based on the Agere 1648C which also support Type 1 caller ID? I can't seem to find any.

Thanks

I should add that I'm looking for an inexpensive internal PCI modem.

Thanks

This is a small list of modem that this software uses that they say supports callid 1. Might check out the zoom modem,

Thanks Charles, but I don't think that Zoom modem does the job. The Zoom model 3025 has been made in 3 flavors: 3025L (Agere 1646), 3025C (Conexant), and 3025N (Agere 1648). From what I've read, only the Conexant version supports Type 1 CID. Zoom also seems to have phased out the Agere chips in favor of Conexant, I'm not sure why, perhaps the Conexant is cheaper since it is a single-chip solution.
