| Algy Tl Posts: 1 South Africa | Posted - 3/16/2004 1:10:16 AM    I have a Zoltrix V90 56K modem. I have been having trouble with my drivers but seem to have installed these properly again. However, when I dial up the dial up box indicates a connection to the service provider and says that it is verifying but before it has a chance to complete the authentication the call is dropped. I am sure there is a simple explanantion for this but my experience with modems is limited. Any thoughts? |
| v.Richard Tl Posts: 6222 USA | Posted - 3/18/2004 8:48:12 AM  If the modem starts retraining after CONNECT but before authentication - Check the modem's post-call diagnostics Try lowering maximum modem connect speed or protocol Do you get a DUNs error when the call is dropped?
