When i install a Pinnacle IEE1394 (Firewire) card into my PC (PCI Bus, winXP SP1, AMD1Ghz, 900Mb ram) it prevents my motorola AM56 modem accessing the net. The modem connects, as shown by the icon in the system tray, but cant download any content. Error page says 'Page not available'. If I take out the Firewire card the modem connects & downloads successfully.
Anyone seen this problem? Any help appreciated, thanks!

That sounds like a networking problem as opposed to modem problem - try connecting using Hyperterminal connected to modem COM port.

Windows Control Panel / Network Connections - Advanced
Connections & Bindings settings

LAN/HighSpeed settings/properties for 1394 Connection

Aloha! Richard.
