| mcquicker Tl Posts: 2 USA | Posted - 4/20/2004 7:20:48 PM    I bought a Intel(R) 536EP Modem but even though the box and the diagnostics and everything says it has caller id, i cannot get it to work. Simply put, when a call comes in, the modem answers but does not ID the caller. I have call id from the telephone company and when I use a stand alone call id machine it works to perfection. I would appreciate any help on this matter. I am running Win XP Pro. Thank you very much in advance. P |

When a call comes in, the modem does not id the call, even though it is only one call coming in. In other words, there is no second call to be id. Is it perhaps a different kind of caller id system that has to be set up? Thanks in advance... Peter |
