| pauldog Tl Posts: 231 USA | Posted - 4/24/2004 10:18:21 PM     The only requirement my telco (Qwest) has for a DSL modem is that it works with DMT. They sell an Actiontec that has wireless networking capability, but what I want is a high-quality modem at a good price that doesn't need to do anything but provide the DSL connection. Any recommendations or suggestions on what to avoid? I've seen some on liquidation and on eBay for under $30, and ones at regular online stores for maybe $80. There seem to be 3 types - external USB, external ethernet, internal PCI. And some have both USB and ethernet. |
